Support us

You’ll see from our history that we know our field well, we understand need, we understand our community and we see the journey we need to take. But we can’t do this alone. As we look forward to our 150th anniversary we invite supporters to join us in sustaining this unique charity.

With pressures on public sector budgets growing, statutory funding is reducing relative to costs and a the same time need is accelerating across our communities. We want to work with you as supporters to ensure Turner can continue to offer safety, happiness and hope to the men we support. We want to work with you to ensure each individual rediscovers who they are and lives a comfortable and stable life within the beautiful setting of our home.

As a Registered Charity we’ll ensure that every pound we receive is invested in enhancing the lives of our residents. Since 2022 Turner has undergone significant transformation in leadership, quality assurance and team skills. Our journey has been recognised in our most recent CQC inspection, where we were rated as Good, an achievement that reflects the progress we’ve made and the strong foundations we’ve built for the future.

As custodians of this amazing building and charity we continue to fulfil our original mission whilst protecting our heritage, enriching the character of the local community and making sure this legacy is treasured and upheld.

"Equality of access - something that runs deep in Turner's veins."
We are looking for individuals, trusts and foundations who want to explore a strong working relationship with Turner, committing a minimum of £1000 annually in the run up to our 150 years.
This initial commitment will help us to fund:
-
New enhanced programmes of engagement for our residents, allowing us to reach beyond the work that statutory funding affords and bring increased joy, independence and choice to our residents.
-
Sensitive modernisation of our building to meet changing care needs, whilst retaining its historic charm, including a specialist dementia unit that offers safety outside a hospital environment.
-
Programmes to open doors for our next generation of health and care workers, creating local employment opportunities in an area of significant economic challenge.
By joining the Turner 150 circle of supporters you will provide vital backing that impacts lives across our city. You’ll strengthen connections with those who share a passion for beautiful places that offer equal access to quality care, and with this positive change for those people who would otherwise remain excluded from Liverpool’s vibrant and aspirational society.
